I have a 2001 Silverado ext with keyless entry. I want to install a alarm and remote start. I purchased a VSC 3200 and not sure were to go from there. I know I need a module (555l) to disable the passlock. I think I need a (551t) to actually start the vehicle. Will both these units interface correctly with the 3200 or will I need some other hardware to make this work? Id also like to add a voice module and pager. Would that also be plossible
with the 3200?

It does not appear to have a remote start in this
model. I went to http://www.aatechnologies.com/gmalarms/vsc3200.asp
to look at this system which actually is a DEI
www.directed.com piece. Probably a python or hornet.
Better make certain you got the right unit for your needs
here. Voice can be added, paging though would probably
not be a viable option on this one. Lastly
any GM PASSLOCK II bypass module will address this
one. The AUTOPASS systems I sell work very well for
25.00. You also have positive door locks in the
Silverado witch will need relays on this system
according to the specs I read.
The VSC 3200 does not have the capability you
are looking for here.

The 3200 was a gift so that was why I was hoping to use it. I know that it didn't offer remote start as a feature, however I was unclear as to the option of adding it to the unit. (additional module). Id love to see a system with all my needs taht I could install in my 2001 Silverado. Thank you very much for your time in this matter.

AnswerI understand. However adding modules and is not
the way to go here. To invasive to
add more and more modules to a system. The more
you add the higher the probability that something
can go wrong inline somewhere.
Go to www.pagingalarm.com and see the
GALAXY 5000 rsw 2 way system.
That, with a GMBYPASS module and 2 relays
for the locks will do all
of the desired functions and alot more.
If you are happy with this one (I install these
on a daily basis int Chevy's here in my shop) then
I will send along an itemized paylink for all to get
you squared away. I will of course assist you
in the installation phase once purchase is
made, and ship the product in the morning.
