Car Alarms: 92 Maxima alarm setoff, original equipment manufacturer, nissan maxima

Question
I have a 92 Nissan Maxima GXE-6 cylinder with no owners manual, so I was not aware that there was a built in alarm system. If I open the door from the passenger side the alarm sets off with lots of beeping, and the car won't start. A lady assisted me today by disconnecting something near the battery. The beeping stopped, and I was able to drive the car. However, the radio and clock won't work, and there's limited use of the seat belts. This happens intermittently, this being the second time within two months even though I have had the car for 2 years. What is the solution? Great car but I am ready to give it up, can't stand the aggravation, and sense of not knowing what to do. Thanks for whatever assistance you can give.

Answer
Ok, tell me a bit about the reaction.
If it was the OEM (original equipment manufacturer),
The HORN would honk and the HEASLOGHTS would
flash. If this is happening, to permanantly
disable the factory alarm, find the
FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE-light.grn/blk/sil dots|-|
@ the
anti-theft module to the right of the
steering column under the dash, and ground it to
the body of the car.

If however it's an aftermarket alarm, you would need
to locate the valet/overide switch under the dash,
and Put the key in the ignition, turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area in most cases,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area comes on solid.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should be valet. This overides
the starter kill relay in the alarm harness,
and returns the car back to disarmed mode.

The only thing that will work now on your system,
is the keyless entry if installed.

Just Repeat these steps to rearm your system.

That should do it.

Let me know what happens.
