My car is a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with a factory alarm system.  My car alarm keeps going of for no reason at all.  Is their anyway to fix it. If not how do you disconnect a car alarm in a 1999 chevy tahoe.  Is their a fuse i can pull out.
Answer -
From what you are describing, I am leaning towards
an aftermarket alarm system. Can you describe what is
"going off"?

Is it a siren or a car horn? do your headlights flash
or, the parking light?

It is a siren that keeps going off with the lights flashing.  It goes through it siren seqence then shuts off then goes off again soon after.
Get back to me and I can better
advise with this information.

Answer
Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area in most cases,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area comes on solid.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should be valet. This overides
the starter kill relay in the alarm harness,
and returns the car back to disarmed mode.

The only thing that will work now on your system,
is the keyless entry if installed.

Just Repeat these steps to rearm your system.

That should do it.

Let me know what happens.
