Car Alarms: ford car alarm, dash area, reverse engineer

hey i have a 1991 Ford Escort LX.  My alarm is killing my car and i been trying to undo it what can i do for it

I would suggest getting the wiring chart for the car
at www.wiringcharts.com  then reverse engineer it and
remove the alarm system completely.

If you find a valet overide button under the dash
area, turn the key in the ignition on, just
before cranking, and press the button
in for 5 to 6 seconds. This puts
the alarm is valet, and won't put
a drain on the battery. Then remove it.

I would however replace it with one you do
understand and can troubleshoot. Your car
is too easy to steal!
