Car Alarms: car alarm, alarm signals, handy key

Question
I purchased a new casing for my checkmate commander car alarm, but i am not sure how to program it. i still have to old one, and i have found the programming button in my car. the model on the alarm case is jt3kt7a. any help would be fantastic, thanks

Answer
Ok try this. Have the new remote handy.
Key in the ignition, turn it to the on,
just before cranking position.
Then press the Valet button under the dash 5 times.
If the alarm responds with a chirp, press the
lock button on the remote. When the alarm signals
with a chirp and a flash, it's been programmed.
Turn off the ignition, and use the remote to lock up.
At least this is the industry standard way to
do progamming
Yours might vary.

But it's worth a shot.

Good luck with it.
