Car Alarms: Car alarm false triggering, intrusion detector, poor connections

The alarm on my car (3 year old Peugeot 206GLX) has recently started to falsely trigger when left parked for long durations (e.g. overnight). I suspect it has something to do with the ultrasonic intrusion detector circuit. Can you offer any advice about the most common cause of this type of problem - e.g. the ultrasonic sensor, poor connections, faulty ECU, etc.

No actually never did a Peugeot before, and unless
it's an aftermarket system, I would be the wrong one to
ask. You need to contact Peugeot for some input on
this issue with they're OEM system.

If it is however an aftermaket system, you would
need to tell me what you have so I can advise
properly.
