Car Alarms: Keyless Entry - Powerlocks Noise, wire colors, negative pulse

Question
I recently installed a Crimestopper 865 Keyless Entry Kit in my 2003 Honda Civic.  The installation went fine, but now my powerlocks make a noise that didn't seem to be there before the install.  It sounds like the lock motor (?) is staying on longer then before.  I hear a noise in the door (seems to be coming more from the driver's rear door) for about 1/2 a second or so after the doors are locked or unlocked.  This noise wasn't there before the install and I here it whether I use the keyless entry to lock/unlock or just use the switch on the door.  Don't remeber the exact wire colors, but I hooked two wires from the keyless entry to ground (both violet I think), one to the Civic's lock wire and one to the Civic's unlock wire.  The Civic lock/unlock wires where tapped into in a gray plug above the driver's kick panel.  I followed the instructions for a negative pulse system.  I tried unplugging the lock/unlock wires from the keyless entry module and the noise remained.  Very weird, noise wasn't there before install and unhooking wires from module doesn't end noise.

For completeness the keyless entry also is hooked to the horn through a relay, the driver's door pin to turn on the dome light and it is hooked to the parking lights.  I am using the same ground (a metal bracket under the dash which the alarm is fixed too) for the main alarm ground, the horn relay ground, and both violet door lock wire grounds.

Thanks for your help.

Brad.

Answer
This all sounds right. I don't know that it actually
has anything to do with the keyless. I may be the
locks or the mechanism itself. Check to make
sure these are your wires:
POWER LOCK|white/blue|-|gray plug above drivers kick
POWER UNLOCK|white/green|-|gray plug above drivers kick

If attatched to anything else, modify.
However, it sounds like you've got it.
If you feel it needs to be looked at, remove
the alarm so the warranty will be covered.
