Car Stereos: sound coming out of dashboard in 2008 avalanche, chevy avalanche, dashboard

I have a 2008 chevy avalanche. I have a kenwood dnx7100 headunit in it. The sound comes out of the dash instead of the speakers in the truck. When its cold it comes out the dashboard speakers, and unless its real hot thats the only time it will work. Tried resetting unit still didnt work. Please help

Hi Marquis,

If the sound works when it's really hot, that would suggest bad wiring somewhere.  When things heat up, they expand.  A bad connection might be getting remade by heat.

Re-check the installation of the wires for the installation.
