Answer
Hi Jeff,

The speakers are connected to the deck, right?  This would suggest one of a few things.  I'll start with most common/simplest, and go from there.

#1: Internal amplifier on the deck has been turned off somehow.  Go into the settings of the Pioneer headunit, and make sure that the int. amp setting is set to 'on'.  If it's off, there will be no sound coming off of the amplifier built into the HU.

#2: You blew the internal amplifier's fuse.  Most Pioneer units have a small, separate fuse in the back of the unit that controls the internal amp's power.  If you blew this, check the wiring to your speakers first to make sure everything's healthy before replacing it.

#3: One of your speakers or its wiring has gone bad.  If the deck detects < 4 ohms of resistance on a channel, it will turn off its internal amplifier to protect itself from damage.  Using an ohmmeter, test the resistance going down the wires that lead to the factory speakers.  If it's less than 4 ohms on any of them, investigate why.  (3.8 or 3.9 is OK.)

#4: The deck has fried.  This is the least likely but a possible scenario.  If you get here and haven't figured it out yet, you may be dealing with a deck whose internal amplifier is shot.  You can choose to just use the preouts, or replace it entirely.
