Car Stereos: bose car stereo sound issue, eq settings, sound settings

Hi, my dad's girlfriend recently got a new car and had the bose system installed on at when she got it, but my dad messed with the sound settings and now she says it doesn't sound the same, is there a way to reset the sound settings to where they were when bought?

Hi Patricia,

The easy answer is to just pull the radio fuse, wait a few minutes, and put it back -- that should reset all of the settings.

Only do this if you know there's either not a stereo lock code, or if you know what the unlock code is.

Alternatively, go into the eq settings/bass settings/treble settings, and reset everything back to 0 with loudness off -- that's the default setting on stereos.
