Car Stereos: 2007 Tahoe - Replace headunit and maintain rear DVD functionality?, 2007 z71 tahoe, custom harnesses

Question
I have a 2007 Z71 Tahoe with factory navigation, rear backup camera, rear DVD, OnStar & Bose.  I'm thinking about replacing my factory navigation system with an Alpine INE-Z928HD.  I know I can get an adapter to maintain my steering wheel controls, factory chimes, Bose, and Onstar.  My question is whether there is a harness or easy way to tie in my factory overhead DVD player into the aftermarket headunit.  In addition, any way to maintain rear seat controls (for audio/video) and the factory backup camera?

Answer
Hi Bill,

Apologies on the long delay before answering; I had to do a little homework, and it seems that the short answer is: not really.

There are some people who have attempted it by making custom harnesses and custom hardware, but nearest I can tell, there is no commercial product out there that is just plug and play and will do what you want.

Car makers with every passing year are making it increasingly more difficult to add/change the stereo they put in their cars.
