Car Stereos: 1997 Saturn dash, fog light, dash light

Hi my ex-boyfriend thought he new what he was doing and tried to replace my radio in my car and now where my fog light and rear defroster lights hook up in my car he pulled that part out and fried it and am not sure where to go to get a new one to replace it, and also sines this has happened my service light has been on and my dash light don't work all that good, would you know why that is happening also?

Hi Ashley,

As far as the fried parts go, I'd suggest going to an auto wreckers first.  They're most likely to have what you need and charge a reasonable price for it.  If you can't find it there, your next step is probably a dealer (or eBay if you know what to search for).

As far as your service light, that is almost certainly unrelated to the stereo, and you should probably take it to a mechanic to have it checked out.

The other lights not working well sounds like he knocked something loose or broke a connection somewhere.. you'll have to dig around behind the deck and find out where and repair it.
