Car Stereos: amp installation, factory speakers, channel amp

Question
dear Justin i have 2003 Taurus SES sedan. I have a factory everything in it. i have  now a XPE2700 amp and i would like to install it in my car so my factory speakers give me more bass.
so how i do it if i have amp 400 watts @ 4 ohms, factory fm/am/cd player and wire install kit

Answer
Hi Dmitriy,

Your amplifier supports high level inputs, so what you'll need to do is disconnect the rear speakers from the deck and run them into the high level input on the amplifiers.

Now, your new replacement amplifier is a 2 channel amp, which means you have two options.

One option is to only use it to hook up the rear speakers.  In this case, you'd hook up the amplifier outputs back to the speakers you disconnected for the high level input, and you're good to go.

The alternative, is that since the amplifier supports 2ohm, you can run 4 speakers on it by running fresh wires off of the front speakers as well, and then wiring them in parallel to the rears.  The downside to this is that you'd lose your fader.  This configuration will give you ~37w RMS to each speaker.
