Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): wont stay running, eager 1 engine, float bowl

Question
i own a craftman 6.25 push mower.its got a eager-1 engine in it.when it was bought in 2001. i prine it.it will run for about 45 sec or so then quit?
i have checked the fuel,lines and tank for.to make sure that they are not plugged.the carb is getting fuel,when i take the drain plug out i get fuel.can you help me out?

Is the small hole in the float bowl nut clean?

The problem you described is almost always fixed by removing, dis-assebling and cleaning the carb with compressed air.

It's not difficult; just pay close attention to how the carburetor linkages are connected.  Take a picture or draw a diagram of the linkages.
