Car Stereos: Amp installation on a 2011 Nissan Sentra, nissan sentra, amp light

I recently just bought an MTX amp with two 10" JBL subs, and i had everything hooked up but i cannot figure out what fuse to tie the REM cord to.  We first tied it to the Car audio fuse and even when the car was off the amp light was still on, then i tied it to the heated seats fuse because i do not have heated seats and the amp light still stays on when the car is turned off.  Do know which fuse would be a good fuse to tie it to so that it only comes on when the car turns on?

Hi Shawn,

You shouldn't be hooking the remote wire up to anything but the remote wire on the deck.

If you're using a factory deck that doesn't have a remote wire, then you should be using a line out converter to get the RCAs to the amplifier anyway, and they usually provide you with a remote wire.

Alternatively, if you have an amp with high-level inputs and that's what you're using instead, just tap to the accessory wire for the deck.
