Car Stereos: 02 tauras, fuse boxes, stock radio

Hello, I'm havein some troubles with a 02 ford tauras, I ran all the wires, power, ground line outputs, etc I had everything hooked up with the line output because I'm using the stock radio, I went to turn it on and the radio didn't come on at all, and now the dome lights etc, don't come on, the thing is I checked all the fuses and there all good?! I'm lost?!

Hi Harrison,

If the dome lights aren't coming on now, you burned a fuse.  It's really that simple.  99.99999% sure.

Check the fuses again.  Use a multimeter.  Just looking at them won't be enough -- sometimes they look fine, but they're blown.

Also, make sure you check *all* fuses.  Many cars these days have 2 fuse boxes: one under the hood and one in the passenger compartment.

Before turning anything else on, though, find out where you messed up so that you don't just burn another fuse out.
