Car Stereos: 6cd player, ford freestar, fuse panel

Ford Freestar 2007 factory installed 6 cd player -
I had to jump my car battery and now the 6cd player says "check player" when I turn it on.  If I try to eject or load cds it says "initializing" but I get nothing else.  what can I do?

It's possible that your CD changer is just stuck in an endless loop trying to set itself up.

Open your fuse panel, and remove the radio fuse.  Make sure that it takes power away from the changer.

Wait about 30 seconds, and then put it back.  See if that lets it reset itself.

If it doesn't, unfortunately, the device may have received a surge greater than it's designed to handle, and may require replacement.  CD changers are very finicky.
