Car Stereos: install of amp/subs to factory H/U, sosche, mono amp

i installed an sosche loc80 adjustable line-out converter to the factory deck to run a kenwood 1800w class d mono amp for my subs but the volume control on the factory H/U wont turn up or down my subs just factory speakers

Hi Chad,

This is unfortunately one of the common side effects of line out converters.  They don't respond as well to volume changes as you'd like since they're mostly using the speaker outputs for signal, and not volume control.

Your best bet is to use an amp that has the ability to control its volume remotely and wiring that up, or just finding a happy medium for the sub volume.
