my 99 grand prix after market cd player wont play any sound..have tryd multiple head units

Hi Jeremy,

If your Grand Prix is equipped with the factory Bose audio option, a special adapter will be needed to integrate any after-market head unit with the stock amp and speakers.  If you don't have a Bose-equipped Grand Prix, it's possible that you have a pinched or shorted speaker wire, or a defective speaker.  This can cause the head unit's internal amplifier to shut down for protection.  One way to test this would be to connect one speaker at a time; if you can get one speaker to work, keep adding other speakers until you find the connection that shuts down the audio.
