Car Stereos: 2005 Vibe car stereo, replacement bulbs, stock stereo

Hello Brian,

part of the background light on my 2005 stock stereo system went out.  It's the right side starting from the CD changer button for disc 5-6.  Only this part of the background light is not working.  The rest is fine.  is there a fix for it or I have to change the whole stereo system?

Hi,

Sorry about the delay in answering your question.

This is an extremely common problem with Pontiac radios.  It can be fixed by replacing a set of bulbs inside the unit, but it requires soldering the new bulbs to the circuit board.
