Hi Brian,
I would like to swap out my Monsoon system with a pioneer radio with IPOD connection. Do I need to purchase any special wire harness attachment? Is this system easily connected to the pioneer radio?

Hi Tom,

Sorry about the delay in answering your question.  Typically, you can install a new head unit into a Hyundai vehicle with a Monsoon system without using any special adapters other than a standard wiring harness.  For example, a 2005 Santa Fe would require a Metra 70-2003 adapter.  There will be a wire in the factory plug that activates the Monsoon amplifier; it's possible that this wire won't have a matching pin in the adapter harness, so you may need to connect it directly to the after-market deck's blue/white remote output wire.  In the Santa Fe, this wire would be blue with an orange stripe.
