Car Stereos: car stereo, stereo cassette player, fm modulator

My 97 Dodge Dakota has a factory am/fm stereo cassette player and the previous owner put in a ten disc cd player.It worked fine for several years.Now,I cannot get fm stations or the cd player to work.All I can get is am radio.Any idea what is causing this?Thank you.

The cd player is probably connected through an FM modulator.  Either the antenna wire conection with the modulator has come loose from the radio (likely), or the modulator has failed and needs to be replaced.  More than likely, it is just loose, and you should be able to just plug it back in, and it will work just fine.  Hope this helps, Scott
