Car Stereos: 2004 Nissan Maxima w Bose, 2004 nissan maxima, rear view mirror

Question
Lately, I have been having problems with the bass coming out of my rear deck speakers.  There seems to be little to no bass at all.  The problem started out intermittent, but is getting worse.  I can tell how much bass is coming out from the vibrations on my rear view mirror.  A few times, I will here a popping noise after I put on a song with a lot of bass, which I believe is coming from the amplifier in the trunk in between the rear deck speakers.  The other day whenever it was working, it sounded like the speakers themselves were being overworked.  Any suggestions?  I have had bad luck with Nissan diagnosing the problem(s) I have brought before them in the past.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
It sounds like there is some sort of problem with the center subwoofer in the rear.  It may be the amplifier or subwoofer itself, but probably just a connection somewhere between them.  I would check the wiring going to the amplifier and in between the amplifier and sub.  Make sure all wires are tight and secure.  Also, be sure the ground wire is tight and not corroded.  That should fix the problem.  Hope this helps, Scott
