Car Stereos: 2003 buick century rear speakers, seat brackets, factory speakers

Question
how to remove the factory  speakers in a 2003 buick century

Answer
Hi Chris,

To remove your rear speakers, you'll need to first take the back seat out of the vehicle.  The lower seat cushion should unsnap at the front, then you can lift it out.  To remove the seat back, you'll have to remove the nuts that hold the seat brackets at the bottom, then lift straight up on the rear seat back to release the hooks that secure it at the top.  Once the seat is removed, you can take out the clips that hold the rear deck cover in place, and pull off the cover, exposing the speakers.  (Be sure to disconnect the brake light in the trunk before removing the rear deck panel).

The front speakers aren't much easier; to remove them, you'll need to take off the entire door panel first.  You'll find screws behind the door release lever and inside the armrest cup.  You'll need to pull off the trim panel that runs behind the door release, as well as prying up the window switch panel and unplugging it.  Once the screws are out and the extra panels removed, you'll have to pry around the edge of the door panel to release the retainer clips, then lift the panel off the door.

Hope this helps!
