Question
please explain to me how to replace the passenger side half axle c.v  on 92 sentra  1.6 4 speed auto trans overdrive model ive never done this before

Answer
John,

First take off the hubcap and get a socket that will fit the CV bolt.  Next, jack up the car and put it on stands or use a lift if you have access to one.  Block the wheels if you don't.  Then, remove the wheel and then the center bolt that holds the CV driveshaft on.  Now, remove the brake caliper and hang it up so as not to damage the line.  Use a coat hanger or bailing wire and hang it from the spring.  Then remove the lower two bolts to the strut.  Then, remove the tie rod end nut and get a pickle fork or a tie rod end removal tool and remove the tie rod and then get under the car and remove the three twelve millimeter bolts that hold the bearing assembly on.  This is about half way down the driveshaft going to the transmission.  It could have ten millimeter bolts as I forget.  Once you take the bolts out the driveshaft will come out.  You might have to use a press to get the CV driveshaft out of the bearing on the wheel as sometimes they stick.
