Car Stereos: pioneer DEH-P2900MP faceplate issues., pioneer deh, diagnosis

Question
Ive been using my DEH-P2900MP for about 4 years now and its been fantastic. While a friend was borrowing my car someone tried to steal the unit from the car. All they manages to do was take the faceplate off and try to get through the harness. Theres no apparent physical damage and all the wires are in their proper place and the unit is receiving power but the faceplate will not turn on anymore. Do you have any suggestions? Could the issue be solely with the faceplate and not the rest of the unit? Is there a way to diagnosis this?

Answer
Jordan,  They probably tried to pry the radio out from around the faceplate.  In doing so, they probably popped the faceplate receiving panel off and caused the wires to come loose from the connector.  The unit will probably need to be professionally repaired.  Hope this helps, Scott
