Car Stereos: 01 Lincoln Cont. Alpine radio, alpine radio, oem radio

Question
Do you know it their is a spare jack in the back of this unit to install a iPod converter.
Thank you.

Answer
Hi Vic,

You won't find a universal auxiliary jack like you'd find on an after-market head unit, but there should be a proprietary CD changer port available.  There are quite a few different adapters available to let you convert an OEM CD changer port to an iPod controller or auxiliary input.

I'd suggest checking www.crutchfield.com for an iPod adapter made to fit your vehicle.  Before you order one, contact Crutchfield directly to verify that it will work with the OEM radio in your vehicle; they should be able to tell you exactly what features to look for on the stock head unit, to see if it's compatible with an adapter module.

Hope this helps!
