Car Stereos: Jetta mkIV Monsoon amo, monsoon system, aftermarket stereo

Hi,

I recently bought a used 2004 Jetta, and the sound would only play through the front two tweeters. I got a new head unit with all the required wiring, and it still plays the same. What do you think would be the problem?

Hi Sujay,

The '04 Jetta with the Monsoon system has a factory amplifier that doesn't push the tweeters.  If it's an aftermarket stereo, you'll need to either get a factory integration harness, or figure out why the amplifier isn't working.  It could be something as simple as a fuse.
