Car Stereos: cd player in 2004 dodge durango, dodge durango, odd problem

my cd player will only play track 5 it will not eject it comes up error i had the battery replaced 3 weeks ago and had to have the key reprogrammed because the battery was off too long. but it had been working since then okay wonder what could be wrong?

That's an odd problem Debbie. I'm not a repair technician, I'm an installer, but I still doubt that an eject issue would be related to a battery replacement (normally eject problems are associated with transport problems) but I suppose it could be possible.
One thing you can try is pulling the radio fuses#there will be two, one for accessory power and the other for memory...your owners manual will show you the correct fuse location for each)
Let it sit for about 2 minutes with the fuses out and then replace them both, power up the radio and test to see if the radio goes through a reset and allows the ejection of your CD.
If this doesn't clear up the problem then I'm afraid you'll need to visit you local car audio store and have it looked at by a repair tech.
