Car Stereos: new installed car stereo, chevy tahoe, 2004 chevy tahoe

i have recently installed new car stereo in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe it turns on but i get no voice unless i connect my red wire to my  blue power antenna and when i do connect them i get a static sound when the volume is on low but its the only way it works but when the volume is high its fine it goes away.when i installed the stock stereo on again to see if it had the same prob..but it didn't  it was fine i got no static i would like to know why i get the static sound when i install the new stereo?    thank you

Santi, the problem is definitely in the wiring.  I would be careful on which wires you are connecting together, because some of them will cause shorts inside your radio.  Double check all connections for accuracy and security.  You may even want to check a couple of different sources to make sure your connections are all made right.  Hope this helps, Scott
