Car Stereos: Factory speaker issue, ford rangers, speaker work

Ok, we have 2 identical work trucks (2008 Ford Rangers) and both of them are having similar issues.  In truck "A" neither of the door speakers work.  In truck "B" only the right hand side door speaker works.  I switched the head units and ended up with the same results.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Alan, The key is the problem.  When you switched the radios, did truck "A" right side door speaker work?  Or did the problem stay with the "B" truck?  If, after switching radios, truck "A" right side door speaker starts to work, then the problem is the radios, and they both need to be replaced or repaired.  If truck "A" still has both door speakers out, then the problem is in the wiring to the speakers.  If this is the case, the most common short place is where the wire goes through the door jam.  After many door openings and closings, the wire gets worn through.  Also, if the problem is in the wiring, Ford may have a recall on the problem.  You may check with your local dealer to see if they are having similar issues come in.  They may know about any recalls and about what specifically is causing your problem.  Hope this helps, Scott
