Car Stereos: 96 maxima aftermarket cd player install, fuse boxes, many cars

i have a 96 maxima with bose...i got a harness and installed a aftermarket cd player but i wont get nothing out of it....no lites, sound just nothing.......what can i do...cause i did this type of installation 3 times b4 on 3 different cars and they worked....i need HELP!!!!

Hi Sean,

The first easiest, and most obvious answer is to check the connections you made.  Not getting any lights could be a sign of a bad ground or a bad 12V accessory or a bad 12V constant.  Make sure they're all in the right place, and making good clean contact.

If that's not the issue, check the fuses.  You may have blown one in the process of the install.  It happens to all of us.  Check your car both under the hood, and by the passenger compartment, as many cars now have two fuse boxes.
