Car Stereos: 1992 240 Volvo CD Player., local store, metra

Hi, I'm looking for a CD player for 92 240 Volvo.. But I can't find anything that fits it. I've shopped around and still can't seem to find a CD player for the car. Do you know of any brand or place or make of a CD player that would fit in the car? Thank you!

Hi Mark,

You should be able to fit any standard DIN CD player, using an adapter kit.  A DIN head unit is a 7" x 2" size; nearly all after-market CD players are this type.  The adapter kit you need is Metra's 99-9222.  There's not much demand for this kit any more, so you may not be able to find it in a local store; but it should be available from various online vendors.
