Car Stereos: CD Player Installation, sony xplod, chevrolet blazer

I have a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer and I want to replace the factory installed CD player with one I purchased. I bought a Sony XPLOD CDX-GT11W please let me know what parts and kits I need for this.

Hi Jordan,

You have a few different choices for a mounting kit in your Blazer.  Usually, I recommend Metra parts, but in this vehicle I prefer the Scosche GM1515B mounting kit.  I think it looks a little nicer than the Metra piece.  However, you can also use a Metra 99-3044 or 99-3043 dash kit.  

You'll also need a standard GM wire harness (Metra 70-1858) and antenna adapter (40-GM10).  Of course, the Scosche or American International versions of these parts will work as well.
