There is only two ways to get the tape out.  First, would be to try prying it out with a screwdriver or butter knife.  Of course, you run the risk of damaging the unit and the tape.  The bad news is that if one tape has gotten stuck, there is a good chance another tape will get stuck.  Second, fix would be to remove the unit.  Take the case apart and carefully remove the tape.  This is the safest way to remove the tape, but the player may still get another tape stuck.  To insure against another tape getting stuck, I would suggest taking it to an electronics repair shop and have the mechanism checked and the head demagnetized.  Hope this helps, Scott
