Car Stereos: car stereo problem, jvc kd, constant power

i have a jvc kd-s15,and i followed all the installation and when i turn off my truck and get back in and turn on the stereo,i have to reset everything,clock;stations;everything.what can i do to fix this problem?

Hi Don,

It sounds like the constant power and switched power connections may be reversed behind your radio.  The yellow wire in the harness needs to be connected to a voltage source that doesn't switch off with the key; this is what retains your clock, presets and settings.  The red wire is meant to be connected to a key-switched power source.  Assuming you have these connected to different wires, you might try reversing the connections and see if that solves the problem.  If not, please follow up with the year and model of your truck; I'll try to help find the right wire for your constant power connection.
