Car Stereos: cd player error, player error, lens cleaners

Hey, since you guys are experts, this should be a no brainer for you. I got an 04 Maxima, and the problem with my cd player is that no matter what kind of cd i insert, it keeps displaying 'wrong disc' regardless, whether is mp3, RW or a regular audio disc. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Vadim,

One of two things is going on here.  Either your drive's laser is dirty and needs to be cleaned (you can buy cd lens cleaners at most departments tores), or the drive has bit the bucket and will need replacement.

Start with the cheapest solution and go from there. :)
