Car Stereos: Amp Connection, ground wires, remote terminal

Well as soon as I put the blue wire to the amp my cd player turns on and off but as soon as i take it out of the amp the cd player stays on. What do i need to do so i can have my subs working again?

If I understand your question correctly: when you connect the remote wire to activate your amp, it makes the head unit shut off?  

What is the blue wire connected to at the back of the head unit, and where are the amplifier's power and ground wires connected?  Are you connecting the blue wire to the "remote" terminal on the amplifier?  Also, can you tell me the brand and models of your head unit and subs?

If you can provide a bit more detail on the problem, I'll try to suggest something to help you.
