Car Alarms: Astra 777 Programming/Locks, north hollywood ca, honda prelude

Question
Hey, I just installed the Astra 777 in a 2000 Honda Prelude, but I have 2 problems. First, it won't go into programming mode.  I thought maybe the button was broken or somthing, so I tried another, checked connections, ect.. but still nothing.  The manual says that the siren will chirp 5 times when you enter it, but all that happens is the LCD remote flashes a little "phone/call" icon a few seconds after hitting the valet button.  When pressing the valet button to go into programming, the led flashes on each press.. I'm not sure if it's supposed to do that or not.  Now the second problem is the door locks.  When I first installed it, the locks worked great (unlocked and locked) except the parking lights didn't flash.  Then I turned on my headlights and the locks kept unlocking and locking for about 5 seconds or so.  Afterwards it smelt like something was burning, but that could have just been me.. I thought it may have been something to do with the parking lights, so I double checked the internal jumper and the connection, but that is ok. I am pretty sure that I have the wire connected correctly to the parking light wire.  The door locks still work from the door switch, and the alarm still arms fine, but the door locks don't lock/unlock when I arm the alarm.  Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.  Thanks.

Answer
Somewhere along the way you fried the motherboard at the lock relays. I suggest contacting Scytek tomarrow and
discus warranty options. If you attempted to put the black/white wire to the dome light wire without a relay
foreinstance, it can cause the trouble you are having.

But it is damaged. Stop working with it, and call for support on it or you will have to start all
over again, and buy a new system.
