Car Stereos: KDC 116S, internal amplifier, kenwood kdc

My Kenwood KDC 116S wont play anything but base sound thru my subs (10in Punch). I have taken it out and wires arent touching and the fuse next to the speaker connectors 'appears' to be good. Any ideas?

Hi Lawson,

Check the menus in the deck.  Kenwood decks have all sorts of options for low and high pass filtering, as well as disabling the internal amplifier.

If all that checks out, and you're still only getting sound out of the subwoofers, you might have fried the internal amp in the deck.  Check the wiring to the rest of your speakers.
