I've been having a problem with the speakers in my 2004 Nissan pathfinder LE. The left speaker on the dash always works, however the right dash speaker and the speakers on the door panels will work sporadically-sometimes only the rear doors will work, other times only the front doors;sometimes the left side, other times the right. It occurs when using the radio or CD player. It does not occur when driving on rough/bumpy road. My mechanic says the radio needs to be replaced. I thought maybe there were loose or faulty wires. How do I know if the radio is the problem or if it's wiring?

Your mechanic is probably right.

Testing the wiring can prove to be a little difficult, as replicating intermittent problems while testing wires can be difficult.

Your best bet, is to run fresh new wire from the system into the door speaker -- that's the only really good way to test.
