Car Stereos: 2000 chevy silverado anti theft radio code, chevy silverado, radio code

My mother had unplugged her truck battery and it did something to her radio where she has to have an anti theft code to put in. This has happened before and we had to take it to the dealer and pay them almost $100. AND they never even gave her the code for future reference. So I was wandering instead of going back to the ripoffer oops i mean the dealer..lol..is there anyway we could do it ourselves?

Unfortunately, not really.

That said, I think there are some resources on the Internet who can get you the code for a lot less than $100.

If you can't get it, next time, instead of spending $100 to get it unlocked, for not much more, you can just replace the damn thing and it'd be better anyway. ;)
