Car Stereos: CD mode wont appear, jeep liberty, disc changer

Hello Scott, my name is Arturo (I'm from Honduras) and I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty, with a 6-Disc Changer Stereo. I've just replaced the battery, and now the CD mode of the Stereo won't appear, it will only switch between FM/AM. I have 4 discs inside, and I can hear the mechanism of the disc changer, like when I pressed for another cd. What can I do to get the CD mode back?

Arturo, That is a bummer.  I wonder if you can load another cd into the player, and maybe it will start to recognize the player.  Or, maybe you can eject the ones that are in there, then reload them.  I doubt it is major problem.  If my suggestions dont work, I would disconnect the battery and reconnect it again.  If that does not fix it, it may need to be reprogrammed at the dealer.  The computer runs everything in your Jeep, and if it does not know you have a radio with cd player installed, it may only provide power for the radio part of the headunit.  Hope this helps, Scott
