Car Stereos: Dual BP1204 lights, volt dc power, dc power source

I bought the Dual BP1204 speakers, got them hooked up, and they're great. I need to know what exactly I need to hook up the illumination part

Hi Ryan,

The illumination just needs to be connected to a 12 volt DC power source.  The exact source you use will depend on how you want the lighting to work.

If you'd like the lights to be controlled by the switch built into the sub box, you can connect the illumination terminals to battery power.  The easiest way to do this would be to connect directly to the power and ground terminals at the amplifier.

You may want the lights to turn on whenever your trunk is opened.  In this case, you might be able to tap into the wiring at your trunk light.   Or, if you want the sub lights to come on whenever the audio system is on, you can wire up a relay controlled by the same remote wire that activates your amplifier.
