cd doesn't play when inserted and it gets struck.

Hi Malcolm,

This sort of thing happens a lot.  First step is to remove the fuse that powers the radio for 10 minutes and then put it back.  That might reset it and cause it to give you your disc back.

If it doesn't come out after that, unfortunately, your only option is to remove the disc by pulling the unit apart.

After you've done that, check the disc to see if it's warped or anything.  If it is, don't use it anymore.  If it isn't, test the unit again by inserting a disc you don't care about (coastered blanks works well for this), and see if it's gone back to normal operation.

If it hasn't, replace the unit entirely.
