Car Stereos: No bass at all in my 97 Limited Edition, amplifier, limited edition

Over the last week my bass would fade in and out and now it's just gone, wondering if the amplifier could be shot, or is it a wire issue. Thanks For Your Time. Marcus Doughty

Marcus,  Normally, when the power goes in and out and steadily increases, it is a wiring issue.  There is probably a wire that has worked itself loose or wore through a wear spot somewhere.  The only exception would be if it had been doing it since you hooked it up.  If it had been overheating and shutting off regularly, it may be possible that you wore out one of the circuits inside the amp.  Hope this helps, Scott
