Car Stereos: Monsoon system, fuse box, monsoon system

I just bought a 2005 Santa Fe with a 6 CD changer built in to radio. The CD changer does not work, the led doesnt even light up when you press load...can you help? where do I start trouble shooting this?

If there is anything else on the radio that is not working, I would go directly to the fuse box and make sure all the fuses are good.  Second, if the radio works and only the changer does not, there may be a fuse on the rear of the radio that controls that mechanism that has blown.  Of course, that would require removing the radio to check.  If there is a fuse on the back, and it is ok, then the problem is probably internal and the radio needs to be repaired.  I wouldn't pull it out to check the fuse, unless you are ready to possibly keep it out to take to the repair shop.  OEM changers are very delicate and it doesn't take mush to knock them out of whack.  Hope this helps, Scott
