After searching the web for some insight I made  ahuge mistake. My wife's Pathfinder is a 94'.
Our 94' Nissan Pathfinder SE has to be floored in order to start the vehicle. Once the vehicle has started, it runs fun. Even if it has been parked for a while. I have changed the engine temperature sending unit. Still no change. I did check the ECCS unit for any codes. Nothing has shown up. The check engine light is operating as it should. A full
tune-up has been performed. Can you suggest any other avenues?

Terry,

Check the distributor for oil on the optics and check to see that the cold start sensor is working.

Answer
Terry,

Check the fuel pressure to see if you have a leaky injector.  If one is stuck open it will flood the engine and then you have to floor it to start it.  You see, a leaky injector will still have pressure on it after the engine is off and then it will flood out that cylinder.  Check the pressure while it is running and then turn it off.  It should still hold pressure.  If not and it bleeds off fast take out plugs until you find those that are really black as compared to the other plugs and you will find the leaking injectors.  I had this problem recently on a 350Z and it turned out that two injectors were leaking.
