Car Stereos: 1997 540 radio problems, radio problems, navigation tv

Hi,i just bought a 1997 540 6speed bmw it came with a navigation,tv,onboard computer,phone,radio,with 6 cd player in the trunk.The problem is that the tv reads mute whenever it is on,the navigation works,so does the on board computer, but all the buttons on the steering wheel dont work except the horn.i cant even turn on the radio on cause the mode button doesnt workor th cd player please help me??? thank you

Sorry for this late response to your question.

You can try "resetting" your vehicle's head unit by temporarily disconnecting, then re-connecting your negative battery terminal. This often fixes stubborn issues in after-market car audio systems, so it's certainly worth a try in your case.  Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas beyond that, except for having the vehicle's head unit replaced.
