Car Stereos: Car not starting, blown fuse, saturn sl 2

Question
I have a 1998 Saturn Sl 2 I tried to change out the radio by myself like a dummy, Now the car won't start I even put the old radio back in. Is there something I am missing or does the car have a anti theft system in it that makes it not start? Anything you could advise would be a great help...

PLEASE HELP, This is my only car and I am stuck.....

Thanks Julie

Answer
Julie, It is not such a bad idea to do your own stereo replacement, but it is important to follow directions closely.  There are many wires involved and they affect other things.  As far as the car starting, there really isn't any wire that would affect that.  However, if for some reason, you shorted a live wire, there may be a blown fuse somewhere.  Check all of your fuses, and be sure they are all good.  There aren't any anti-theft items that would cause the car from starting.  It is definitely a short or blown fuse somewhere.  Good Luck, Scott
